On September 26, 2017, a national conference was held in the conference hall of the Renaissance Hotel as part of the CL @ SS project "Development of Social Competences in the Secondary School".

The project was realized in partnership between:

    137th Secondary school – Bulgaria
    The Economical College of Montainous Banat – Romania
    Celje Youth centre - Slovenia
    Mesleki ve Teknik Egitimi Gelistirme Dernegi (METEGDER) – Turkey
    RPIC-ViP s.r.o., Czech republic

The event was honored by the Regional Directorate - Sofia City, in the person of Mrs. Vanya Kastreva, representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Education Directorate of Sofia Municipality, the Bulgarian Teachers' Syndication, “Ucha se”educational site and teachers from different schools from Sofia.

The participants at the event had the chance to get acquainted with various innovative methods for developing key social skills such as effective communication, problem solving, information gathering and management, entrepreneurship and collaboration. The various activities on the implementation of this project are aimed at creating a new model of teaching that stimulates the creativity of both students and teachers.

At the very beginning Mr. Vladimir Mikov, the principal of  137th School, drew the attention of the participants with the attractive game "The Ball of Knowledge" and with his ability to provoke the hosts and the guests of the event. Various games followed in which the dynamics of actions alternated with taking different, intriguing subjects, roles and tasks, which helped the participants to see in a new light the role of the teacher in the teaching process.

The second international partner meeting on the project CL@SS was held in Prague on 8th and 9th December 2016. 12 representatives of the partner countries participated the meeting.

On the first day the participants presented their educational activities, the activities on the dissemination of the project and the results for the first year. The generalized report on the project work so far , the strong sides and some obstacles were  presented by Mrs Biserka Zarbova from Bulgaria.

On the second day Mr Bushniashki from the National Management School presented the financial report for all the countries and the plan for future activities.

Our school became a member of the worldwide network of UNESCO Associated Schools (ASPnet). The school received a certificate testifying this participation from the National Commission for UNESCO and signed by the Director –General of UNESCO Mrs Irina Bokova.
Joining ASPnet gives an opportunity to conduct pilot projects to promote quality education by reinforcing the humanistic, cultural and international dimension of education. ASPnet schools are considered as ‘centres of innovation’ and serve to promote UNESCO ideals.
